For a long time now, I’ve been intrigued by the various ways people express lack of confidence and self-esteem due to my own past struggles with this common problem over a span of two decades. The very choice of expression can sometimes in itself be indicative of the magnitude of this lack of faith in oneself, a choice that can be deliberate or unconscious, depending on the depth of our self-awareness, sense of self-worth when confronted with life’s challenges, and ability to handle these challenges with grace and understanding.

I have found the moment you settle with the idea that your current limitations are an unsurpassable given, is oftentimes the moment you become comfortable with not asking the best of yourself, not seeking out the best for yourself, and not challenging yourself into finding out what truly are the best solutions to your unique challenges.

It Really Is Simple: A Holistic Approach to Self-Confidence talks about creating solid and lasting self-confidence by adopting a meticulous elevation and prioritization process encompassing every essential aspect of your life. The purpose of this book is to expand your awareness of why each of these aspects is relevant to your well-being in terms of lasting self-appreciation and prosperity.

I wrote it with the goal to help people at a crossroads or people yearning for meaningful change grow their willingness to accept certain risks, distance themselves from conventional wisdom when necessary, and achieve better quality of life. In the book, I’ve shared my substantial experience with overcoming a twenty-year history of poor self-confidence and low self-esteem. The book is about reversing self-imposed and self-sustained limitations by converting fear and anxiety into motivating factors when implementing major life changes. Such changes, in turn, are geared towards acquiring optimal health, building perpetual wealth, and creating growth-inspiring relationships. The prioritization approach described in my book is applicable to each of these life aspects, making it a great tool for strengthening self-confidence holistically.

Presently, I am a successful immigrant, healthcare professional, investor, and business owner. However, I used to greatly struggle with the issues discussed in It Really Is Simple, particularly lack of confidence, victim mentality, and cultural integration, all of which took years to overcome and gradually made me realize that other struggling people could benefit from learning about the ways I got to where I am today. I came to the US in 2000 with nothing but big hopes, to earn my master’s and doctoral degrees in classical violin. I then went through an early midlife crisis in 2008, which made me turn my life around and hence acquire the life I desired by embracing a new career as a registered nurse, learning perseverance and resilience practicing martial arts, and building real estate businesses and a holistic coaching business.

I teach my clients health optimization through nutrition that is unassociated with profitable chronic diseases (whole-food organic vegan diet), vigorous fitness routines including compound weightlifting and high-resistance cardio, and daily liver detox. I also teach economic prosperity through acquisition of tangible, cash-flowing assets, so people can reach financial freedom without depending on jobs to make ends meet.

It all boils down to a truth that has been written about time after time, so strikingly simple yet perplexingly elusive to millions of potentially successful individuals across countless generations over centuries of human history — the truth about the difference between an argument and an excuse. Those who, for whatever reasons, have not learned or will not learn to differentiate between these two crucially opposite categories, have never been and will never be able to hold themselves accountable when creating and pursuing life-changing goals. Instead, they will keep waiting for someone else to make the important decisions and take care of their problems, or they will always look for someone to blame for their problems.

The good news is, you can turn things around at any point in your life, should you choose to implement a meaningful change and take full responsibility for your present choices and actions! This book is for those who are in the process of making that choice. You will probably say that I don’t really know your situation, and I would agree. I can only reliably reflect on the experience of changing my own life as related to my own past habitually detrimental mindset. However, based on some still quite vivid memories of that mindset, I have a very strong feeling that if I could do it, so can you. In fact, I know you can do it!
